urvival Tabs have a very
interesting history, besides being a delicious complete meal in tablet form.
In early 1962, Robert DePugh, a biochemist at a little-known laboratory in Norborne, Missouri, formulated a product for the U.S. Space Program.
Needed was a sole source food that could be used in the Early Space Program Flights. It had to be "the best possible nutrition in the smallest
possible volume." The product that evolved came to be known as the "Survival Tabs."
Since then, it has gone on countless journeys and expeditions all over the world -- Mt. Everest, the Great Australian Camel Race,
the Alaskan Search and Rescue Squads -- and into numerous emergency food programs.
The Survival Tabs are a convenient, compact, lightweight, life-saving food ration for any emergency.
They are complete nutrition, have a 10+ year shelf-life, and they are irresistibly good-tasting. Completely dehydrated and nutrient dense,
Survival Tabs resist any and all forms of microbial
degeneration. They supply the fundamental nutrients you need to get through a crisis.
Each of the 180 Tabs in each bottle weighs 3.7 grams and has 20 calories.
A convenient, compact, lightweight, lifesaving food ration
for any emergency. Ultra high-calorie food tablets provide full vitamin and mineral requirements,
protein for strength, carbohydrates, dextrose and lactose for fast energy under desperate circumstances,
essential fatty acids for long-lasting endurance when you need it most . . . and they taste great!
Average consumption of twelve tabs per day may be decreased
when other foods are available in adequate amounts and quality, or increased in times of complete
starvation or extreme physical exertion.
