This article details a scam perpetrated by the
AMA (American Medical Association), beginning in the early 20th century, to market its
"Seal of Approval" in exchange for hefty fees from pharmaceutical companies. Were
products that carried the AMA's "Seal of Approval" more rigorously tested, were they
safer or efficacious? Not on your life. It is and was all a scam. However, as I detail in a previous essay,
