1. In anatomy, any of the support strands of connective tissue
that project into an organ and constitute part of the framework
of that organ. 2. The network of osseous tissue making up
cancellous structure of a bone. t. carnea cordis

tissue bands that attach to the inner walls of the ventricles
of the heart.
