Update -- May 31st, 2013 @ 10:21 a.m.(ECT) ---
No further incidents occurred throughout the month of May,
all server, shipping, and customer service functions have
operated without any problems.
Update -- May 3rd, 2013 @ 5:20 p.m.(ECT) ---
We resumed shipping of product on Monday, April 29th --
far sooner than we originally anticipated. However, at about this
same time, our server went down and it took our service
provider four days to work the problems out of our
dedicated server, despite all the operating redundancy
we incorporate. As of 7 a.m. this morning (ECT)
everything was working fine and it continues to
the present hour.

One of the fallacies that
many people presume is that operating in a small country, such
as Ecuador, frees one from political intrigue or the usual
bureaucratic encoutrement that is more widely associated
with business in larger more industrialized countries.

It isn't true.

At times, it can be worse.

Allow me to be brief
and to the point . . . Yesterday (4/24), we were asked
to close our doors while our export papers were put in order
and other regulatory requirements, some of them new, some
of them contrary to the advice of previous legal counsel, were
fully met.

No grace period. No warning . . .
Just "close your doors."

Our attorney says it will take
approximately 30 days or so to get up and running again.

We are now closed and will
remain so for most of the month of May.

We realize that this poses
quite an imposition for our retail customers, not to mention
our resellers . . . but this is the current regulatory environment
in which we live --- globally.

During this "down time,"
we will continue to support our existing customers with any
product information they need. (As usual, you write to :
support@herbhealers.com).

We apologize for this
inconvenience and will post announcements of any changes
on our sales sites -- (herbhealers.com and alphaomegalabs.com) --
as circumstances change.
